On June 7, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department applied for and was granted a search warrant for a residence on South 13th Street in the city of Prairie du Chien. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department has been conducting an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics at that residence for the past month.

On June 7, at approximately 5 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department K9 officer searched a vehicle belonging to Jessica Ott, 23, Dodgeville, after that vehicle was seen leaving the residence on South 13th Street and then stopped at the parking lot of a Prairie du Chien tavern. K9 Breck alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics being in the vehicle. The subsequent search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, marijuana and stolen property from Clayton County, Iowa.

Ott and the driver of her vehicle, Zachery Beinborn, 27, Prairie du Chien, were both arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail. Information obtained during the traffic stop led to the search warrant being conducted on the Prairie du Chien residence.

During the early morning hours of June 8, members of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department and the Prairie du Chien Police Department executed the search warrant. Three occupants in the residence were arrested, Kelly B. Slavings, 42, Prairie du Chien; Michelle L. Slavings, 37, Prairie du Chien; and Peter D. Radtke, 40, Kenosha, were all transported to the Crawford County Jail.

Found in the residence during the search were numerous items of drug paraphernalia, scales, methamphetamine, 16 bags of marijuana individually packaged for sale and cash.

Jessica Ott and Michelle Slavings were later released and information will be forwarded to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Peter Radtke is being held in the Crawford County Jail awaiting a bond hearing for charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Zachery Beinborn is being held in the Crawford County Jail awaiting a bond hearing on the charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, operating after revocation and several Department of Correction warrants.

Kelly B. Slavings is being held in the Crawford County Jail on a probation hold. Charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia and domestic battery will be forwarded to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office. A possible charge of maintaining a drug house is also being pursued.
