Donovan Allan Daentl, 81, of Prairie du Chien, died Monday, May 30, at Crossing Rivers Medical Center, Prairie du Chien. 

Donovan Allan Daentl was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Waunakee. He was the son of Melvin and Mercedes (Koch) Daentl. He was a 1953 graduate of Lodi High School. 

On June 25, 1960, he was united in marriage with Carol Jean Wolfe at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Don was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the Crawford County Agricultural Agent from 1972 to 1992.

Don is survived by six children, Scott (Lori) of Bloomington, Karla (Rich) Mulrooney of Mt. Hope, Brian (Michelle Richardson) of Bloomington, Lynn (Russ Jones) Daentl of Brown Deer, Lori (Leo) Hoffman of Waunakee, and Teri Blotz of Prairie du Chien; one sister, Emogene Dodsworth of Mazomanie; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death his wife; his parents, and his grandson, Cord Daentl.

A celebration of life was Thursday, June 2, at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chien.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chien, is helping the family with arrangements.
