Margaret Mary Kramer, passed away at Cokato Manor on April 15, at the age of 89 years, seven months and 21 days.

Margaret was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Prairie du Chien, to John and Gertrude (Gokey) Fernette. She grew up in Prairie du Chien, where she graduated from high school in 1944. After high school, she went to Milwaukee and took a job at Allis Chalmers.

On July 12, 1949, Margaret married Roger Joseph Kramer. They lived in Prairie du Chien until 1956, when they moved to Davenport. There she worked for the North Scott School District. In 1969, Roger and Margaret purchased the Tenderland Beef Company in Davenport and operated it until retirement in 1995. Margaret enjoyed golf, fishing, music and word games. 

Survivors include her children, Marsha (Robert) Cale of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Sharon (Mike) Quilty of Buffalo, Minn., Mark (Jan) Kramer of Foley, Ala., Todd Kramer of Davenport; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Fernette; husband, Roger Kramer; and her brothers and sisters.
