Lillian M. Konichek, 89, of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, March 4, at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born May 3, 1926 in Prairie du Chien the daughter of Vincent and Louise (Konichek) Novak. She married Lloyd Konichek on June 7, 1947 at St. John’s Church in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1993. She was a lifetime member at St. John’s and worked for many years in the bakery for the Piggly Wiggly Store. Lillian and Lloyd were past members of the Eagles Club Aerie 1502. 

She is survived by her sons, Dale of Mt. Hope, and Dean of Prairie du Chien; her daughter Sandi (Wesley) Stewart of Shreveport, La.; daughter-in-law Patty Konichek of DeForest; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son David; her sister Helen Mara and one grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Rev. James Weighner officiating with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien where there will be a wake scripture at 6:30 p.m.
