David Clarence Roquet, 79, of Elkader, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

The family will greet friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Elkader with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

David was born on Aug. 5, 1936, in Fayette County, the son of Donald and Carol (Campbell) Roquet.

David received his education locally and worked for John Deere for 30 years until his retirement.  David was a long time member of the Elkader Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses and enjoyed spending time with his family. 

David is survived by his wife, Muriel Roquet; children, Tammy (Scott) Fischer, Ramona (Ron) Quesenberry, David Roquet, Pamela (Anthony) Bill, Dorinda (Dan) Potter, Brett (Tina) Roquet, Corinne Roquet, Twilia (Micah) Argenio, Kristie (Jediah) Argenio, Jared Roquet; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two siblings, Don (Eleanor) Roquet and Mary Anne (Don) Iliff and many other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florence Birdnow; brother, George Roquet and one grandchild, Andrew Roquet.

In lieu of flowers and all types of sympathy, David has requested memorials that will contribute to the greater good for the congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. Memorials may be mailed to 11152 130th St., Fayette, IA 52142.
