Richard (Dick) Lee Rogge, 77, of Hazleton passed away on Tuesday, June 23, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, Iowa.  

Dick was born in Oelwein, Iowa on Aug. 13, 1937 to Nicholas and Rose (Aliano) Rogge. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church his entire life. His life held many adventures. He married Judith Mason on Sept. 16, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. 

In his lifetime, he worked on the railroad, did farm drainage, small engine repair, and even ran a camping store. However, in his retirement he began raising Longhorns and really enjoyed his time on the farm. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. 

Dick is survived by his children, Thomas (Renee) Rogge of Terre Haute, Ind., Richard (Emily) Rogge of Holmen, Tracy (Fred) Fischer of Dubuque, Iowa, Michael (Kris) Rogge of Prairie du Chien, and Angela Gerstenberger of Oelwein; his son-in-Law John Gerstenberger of Hazleton; his grandchildren James, William, Adam, Ashlyn, Nicholas and Matthew Rogge, Eric, Mark, Ryan and Alex Fischer, Samantha, Danielle and Allison Gerstenberger; his brother Thomas (Maryn) Rogge of Minnesota and sister Mary Jo (Mike) Geary of Oelwein.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nick and Rose Rogge and his wife Judie. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home with a vigil service at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Sacred Heart Church in Oelwein with Fr. Wayne Droessler and Deacon Jim Patera officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein.
