Eunice D. Marting died at her home in Las Vegas, Nev. on March 5, 2015.

Visitation and viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 16, at Spirit of the Desert Lutheran Church.

Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.

Eunice was a 34 year resident of Henderson and Las Vegas, Nev.  She was born in Osterdock, a daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth (Hinrichs) Morarend. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. She attended Jolly Ridge School, after which she was employed at the Egg Processing plant followed by the Pearl Button Factory in Guttenberg, and then later at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

On Oct. 29, 1954, she was united in marriage with Gilbert (Gib) Marting who died on May 29, 2001. They were the parents of one son, Darren, who survives. She is also survived by a brother Willard, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Wilma Pins; and a brother, Wilbert, who died in infancy.

She was a member of 2 Good Sam Chapters, the Vegas High- Rollers, and Sunland Sams. She was also a member of the Bluegrass Music Society Club. 

The family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice or Spirit of the Desert Lutheran Church.
