Michael A. Miller
Michael A. Miller passed away Dec. 31, 2014 after a two-year battle with kidney cancer.
He wished to be known for his deep love and affection for his wife, his family, his church family and his many friends. He was especially fond and proud of his children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. He also wished to be known for his love of history and of sailing. He believed we cannot control the wind but we can adjust our sails and lived his life accordingly.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara (Olson); son Jeffrey (Eileen Flanagan) and granddaughters Erica and Amanda; son Jason and son Garrick (Shannon Stone) and grandson Mark; sister Diane Robbins; brother David (Victoria Wolfson); brother Steven (Rosalee Robay); brother-in-law Douglas (Jeannie Lydell); and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Oscar; his mother Martha (Schultz); his grandparents; his mother-in-law Evelyn Olson (Ehlo) and his brother-in-law George Robbins.
Visitation is Monday, Jan. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bradshaw Celebration Of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5) and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 14940 62nd Street N., Stillwater. Interment will be at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society and Salem Lutheran Church Debt Reduction.
